Which one
Standard until the cap bites.
On fees alone the two plans break even at £10,000 collected a month. Below that, upgrade for the client cap, the badge or the export — not for the fee.

- Standard covers 40. Pro is unlimited. An archived client does not count.
- The badge
- "Sent with Toastly" appears on customer emails and pay pages on Standard. Pro removes it, so everything your customer sees carries only your name.
- Accounting export
- Pro exports invoices, invoice lines and payments as CSV for a date range, with columns that import into Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.
- Everything else
- Autopay, recurring schedules, invoicing, quotes, visit notes, photos and the route map are on both plans. The part that gets you paid is never gated.
Questions
The ones worth answering.
- Who holds the money my customers pay?
- Your customers pay you. We never hold your money. Payments are charged directly on your own Stripe account, so you are the merchant of record and the money settles to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. Toastly takes its payment fee out of that payout and nothing else.
- What exactly does the payment fee apply to?
- Only money collected through the Stripe integration: autopay by direct debit or card, and pay links. Cash, bank transfer and anything you mark paid manually carry no fee. The fee comes out of your payout and is never added to your customer’s bill. The one exception is a tip: the payment fee on a tip is added on your customer’s side, so you receive the whole tip.
- Is there a free trial?
- No. The first month is half price and a card is required. A real charge keeps bot signups off our paid ad campaigns, and it means everyone in the product is a real business. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee if it is not for you.
- What is the 30-day money-back guarantee?
- Email support@toastly.ai within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, no questions. Cancel any time from the billing portal; your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- What happens if I go over 40 clients on Standard?
- The app tells you and offers the upgrade. Nothing breaks and no customer-facing page stops working. Downgrading back to Standard is blocked until you are under 40 active clients again, and takes effect at the end of your period.
- Do I need Stripe to use Toastly?
- No. Scheduling, visits, invoices and PDFs all work without it. Connect Stripe when you want autopay and pay links, which is where the "never chase an invoice" part comes from.
- Do the prices include VAT?
- Yes. £19 and £49 are what leaves your account. Most one-person businesses are below the VAT threshold and cannot reclaim it, so quoting exclusive prices would be misleading.
- Can I get my data out?
- Clients, invoices and payments export as CSV on Pro, with columns that import into Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent. Your invoice PDFs are yours on both plans.
